0 Ground School Open House Jan. 29th 6pm
Do you learn better in a group setting? Do you prefer to be able to ask questions and bounce ideas off an instructor and other students? For information about our upcoming ground school classes and information about our flight school--come join us Wednesday, January 29th at 6 pm for our open house. Ground school classes begin February 3rd and run Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm for 6 weeks. The cost is $1000. This includes all books and instruction. You will also be introduced to flying the second week of class with an instructor for an additional charge. Once you have completed the ground school, you will be moved to the top of the wait list to get started with a flight instructor. If you have never flown a small plane and want to see if flying is for you, we offer a Discovery Flight for $250. It is approximately an hour of flight time with an instructor and an additional 30 minutes on the ground to ask questions. Let us know and we will get you signed up for a flight. We are now renting our Piper Arrow 200 (N2865R) to outside renters. You will need an airport badge that we will help you get but can take up to a week to get because of a five-year background check. To rent the Arrow you will need an airport badge, all FAA and School required documents, a private pilot license, instrument rating, complex endorsement (which you can get with us) and a minimum of 5 hours with our instructor. Rental rate is currently $195/hr wet and our instructors are $75/hr. Checkouts are only valid for 6 months and a new checkout will be required which would be a minimum of one flight. None of our aircrafts are allowed on anything but a paved runway. No back country flying.
